Carrie’s Italian Seasoning

I love seasoning things with Italian flavored seasoning (hence my love for the roasted potatoes and chicken), but, more often than not, packaged italian seasoning has so much sodium in it! I decided to look around for recipes for homemade seasoning and, after many recipes, I found one! I altered it to my taste and created a seasoning of my own that I think is delicious! If you make it, I hope you enjoy it! This recipe makes about 4-6 tablespoons so I just added the extra from the chicken to an Italian Seasoning shaker I already had.

Carrie’s Italian Seasoning (inspired by a recipe from Food Network)

Servings (1 tbs/ serving):  ~4

Amount per serving: 7 calories- 1g carbs- 0g fat- 0g protein

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbs dried basil
  • 1 tbs dried oregano
  • 1 tbs dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • dash of black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
