Cookie Dough Chocolate Creme Pie!

It’s finally ready! I’ve told a number of people this post was coming, and I finally perfected it! I made this pie last week and, unfortunately, it didn’t turn out as I’d hoped. It was good, but not quite good enough. Today, I made it again, and it turned out way better! As I said last week, a piece of chocolate crème pie at a restaurant can be anywhere from 500-800 calories! For one slice! I decided to change that! This pie isn’t hard to make at all. The cookie dough part of the pie is eggless, so it’s ok to eat raw! I adapted the cookie dough recipe from here. I hope you enjoy this delicious chocolate-y pie!

**For the pie crust recipe, go here!

Servings: 8 (1 slice per serving)

Amount per serving (including pie crust): 236 calories- 34g carbs- 9g fat- 6g protein- 11g sugar

Ingredients

–For Cookie Dough:

  • 6 tbs (packed) brown sugar
  • 2 tbs butter- softened
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbs milk (2%)
  • ½ c flour
  • Pinch of salt

–For the Chocolate filling

  • 1 box (4.13 oz) fat free, sugar free Chocolate Pudding Mix (just FYI, you will NOT be following the directions on the box).
  • 1 ½ c Milk (calories mentioned are based on 2% milk)

Directions:

  1. Make your pie crust! Let it cool while doing the rest of the directions!
  2. First we’re going to start with the Cookie Dough! In a small-medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar and butter until it forms a paste. I used a fork to do this since it’s such a small quantity.Image
  3. Stir in the vanilla and milk. Then add the flour and salt. (If you just want cookie dough, add the chips now. If you are making pie, don’t add them yet!)Image
  4. Stick your cookie dough in the fridge while you make the pie filling!
  5. In a small-medium bowl, whisk together 1 box of pie filling and 1 ½ cups of milk until it’s smooth. It will be a little thin, and that’s ok!Image
  6. This is the fun part! Put the cookie dough on the pie crust and spread it so it is even along the bottom of the crust.
  7. Sprinkle 2 tbs of semi-sweet chocolate chips on top of the cookie dough.Image
  8. Pour the pie filling (it should be a little thicker now) over the chocolate chips and smooth it out!
  9. Let the pie sit in the fridge for 30-45 minutes and, viola! You’ve made yourself a low calorie (but still delicious) pie!
