Garlic Butter Sauce

I love Garlic Butter; unfortunately it’s LOADED with calories. I searched for some recipes- many of them came to a whopping 480 calories per serving! I’ve found that, more often then not, I use a lot more than I need which adds to the calorie count by a lot! I decided to mess around with my own recipe and found a great, easy recipe for a garlic butter sauce! The trick to this recipe, however, isn’t the ingredients, it’s how you use it. Rather than pour it over pasta or veggies, toss the pasta or veggies in the sauce before serving! That way, whatever you’re eating is evenly coated with garlic butter sauce and you’ve eliminated unnecessary calories!


Guiltless Garlic Butter Sauce

Servings: 2

Amount per serving:  113 calories- 2g carbs- 12g fat- 0g protein


  • 2 cloves garlic- minced
  • 2 tbs unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp onion salt


  1. In a sauce pan, brown the garlic over low heat
  2. When the garlic is browned, add the butter- continuously stir this so the butter stays liquid! If you don’t it will burn and you’ll lose volume :(
  3. When the butter is melted and mixed in with the garlic, add the onion salt and stir. Image
  4. Toss in your favorite pasta or vegetable, or brush over French bread or pizza crust, and enjoy!
